Hell yeah Bridesmaids. E Melissa McCarthy ganhou NYFCO também (ainda não revelaram todos vencedores). Eu já esperava alguma recepção pelos prêmios de críticos e online, quero ver mesmo se os grandes vão abraçar. MAKE IT HAPPEN GOLDEN GLOBES. No mais, esses prêmios podem não significar nada individualmente, mas ajudam a criar um consenso. Brooks já é lock, não?
J Edgar needs to GTFO, interessante ver Midnight In Paris lembrado mais uma vez, com uma performance implacável no box office, entrar em Melhor Filme nem é uma possibilidade distante, pelo contrário. Hugo, por outro lado, vai de mal a pior no BO e com as próximas estreias sendo competidoras diretas de seu público, nem a expansão de salas vai salvá-lo do fiasco. Não fosse isso, poderia ter status de frontrunner como The Descendants e The Artist.

Eu gosto bastante da McCarthy e talvez até lembre dela na minha lista, mas Bridesmaids sendo incluído em qualquer top 10 de melhores do ano é trágico.

Glenn Close fora mais uma vez, o que não significa muita coisa (claro, deve ter mais facilidade com os grandes -GG e SAG), mas não deixa de ser engraçado. Esqueci de comentar que vi Albert Nobbs ontem e, infelizmente, é um dos piores filmes de 2011. Não chega a ser terrível nem nada, mas tudo é uma grande bagunça sem propósito. Não é novidade que Close não vai ganhar o Oscar, mas sinceramente penso que nem será indicada. Concordo com o Kris Tapley que comentou que é injusto compará-la com a Janet McTeer, visto que o papel de Close é muito mais "reservado" e não tem nenhum momento pra Oscar. Mas, em termos de premiação, McTeer tem muito mais chances de ser indicada a alguma coisa. Não indicaria nenhuma, contudo.

E mesmo sem ter visto eles, prefiro a ideia de um filme do Alexander Payne vencendo um Oscar muito mais que a de um inspirational-war-animal-movie ou sei lá, Extremely Loud And Incredibly Gross e sua existência cafona.

PS: Vitória do Malick no LAFCA foi uma surpresa agradável e significativa. Última vez que quem venceu essa categoria e foi esnobado no Oscar foi Spike Lee em '89!
