Achei essa tabela com os stats entre indicados ao Oscar e BFCA (maior e único prêmio confiável dos críticos?) e o resultado é esse aii: Com 6 indicados em cada categoria, muito provável que mantenham a média alta. Quem se prejudica: Glenn Close, Gary Oldman, Rooney Mara (enquanto que Elizabeth Olsen e Leonardo DiCaprio ficam mais confortáveis como runners-up, mas ainda precisam de GG). Dos coadjuvantes, as médias de acerto são um pouco menores, então acho que não foi tanto prejuízo para Ben Kingsley e Vanessa Redgrave em termos de indicação. Some other thoughts:- Gente como Patton Oswalt, Melissa McCarthy e Andrew Serkis continuam aparecendo. Fico muito feliz. - Drive continua com uma performance EXCELENTE, pena que a Academia vai ignorar, but whatever. - Win Win e 50/50 indicados em todas categorias de Roteiro Original até agora, as custas de Bridesmaids, quem diria. - Leonardo DiCaprio = Cate Blanchett em 2007?!?!

A BFCA tem o prêmio mais confiável para se prever o Oscar, mas é a associação de críticos mais "vendida" de todas (até mais que o Globo de Ouro). Como sempre essa é uma lista de previsões, não de preferências dos votantes. Drive é a única coisa autêntica da lista, mas como são 6 indicados duvido que apareceria em muitas categorias caso fossem 5. É interessante notar que, mesmo com 6 indicados, geralmente eles acertam só 4 do Oscar, então alguns nomes fora da lista ainda devem surgir - em especial Redgrave. Outras considerações:
- Glenn Close tá mesmo fora, acho que não tem mais jeito pra ela mesmo se aparecer no GG. - As indicações pra Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close me deixam bem desconfiado. Novamente, parece que os votantes estão prevendo o Oscar e escolhendo seus favoritos (fato comprovado quando vemos que Harry Potter teve a melhor média deles no ano e foi ignorado na categoria principal). - Feliz pelo reconhecimento a Win Win e 50/50, mesmo que seja apenas em roteiro. São dois filmes que mereciam mais. - Seleção para Melhor Canção foi das piores, apesar das músicas dos Muppets serem ótimas (pelo menos no Oscar não teremos as 3 indicadas). - Algo que me diz que Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross serão novamente indicados pela Academia.

Eu acho que EL&IC decepcionou também. Apesar de indicado nas três principais (Filme-Direção-Roteiro) o BFCA é bias e como você falou, tem uma agenda clara em prever o Oscar. Indicar Bullock e Von Sydow teria mostrado algum apego, mas não aconteceu. Por sorte, a Academia adora filmes importantes sobre coisas importantes, então there you go.
Já The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo eu não sei o que fazer, mas acho que Filme/Direção está cada vez mais longe. Não sei o quanto a polêmica de suas punições e do embargo influenciou os críticos, mas sua distribuição tardia e bagunçada parece estar atrapalhando-o de alguma forma, algo que não aconteceu com True Grit por exemplo (mesmo com screeners limitados). Mara ainda tem chances caso o buzz e o box-office sejam fortes o suficiente na época dos ballots.

Mentira que indicaram Close e coadjuvante por aquele filme HORROROSO.
Maior surpresa foi o Demián Bichir. E Brooks e Redgrave fora. Acho que o Brooks merece uma indicação ao Oscar, mas fico feliz por esse esquecimento porque Plummer >>>>>>>> Brooks. Agora, só eu tô achando que McCarthy tem alguma chance de levar essa estatueta? Seria diferente e até mesmo merecido (melhor que Spencer ela é, e até melhor que Chastain por The Help - se fosse indicada por Tree of Life, torceria por ela). Só espero que McTeer não ganhe, mas ela certamente tem a personagem mais dramática aí.

O GG e Oscar provavelmente vão reconhecê-la, mas duvido que tenha qualquer chance de vencer, eles gostam dela mais do que gostam do filme. - Acho que esse será o top 5 do Oscar. Charlize Theron tem buzz e reviews, mas o filme é tão un-oscar friendly. Rooney Mara está pagando os pecados do embargo maluco do Scott Rudin. Acho que TGWTDT ainda tem chances de indicações técnicas no Oscar, e o buzz pós-release deve ajudá-lo, mas Mara está realmente muito distante. Elizabeth Olsen entraria não estivesse num ano tão lotado. - Também fico confiante em considerar Tilda como lock. Os argumentos contra seriam aceitáveis caso fosse esnobada aqui, mas claramente sua campanha (mesmo grupo que promoveu The Hurt Locker) tem sido eficiente e apesar do filme ser bipolar, seu nome tem superado qualquer crítica e se manteve na conversa. NBR + BFCA + SAG é um combo forte demais para derrubar.
Ator - Leonardo DiCaprio é, indeed, a Cate Blanchett desse ano. Early buzz, material perfeito no papel etc... As críticas destroem o filme, mas os nomes envolvidos em J. Edgar são poderosos e sedutores demais para a Academia ignorar. Embora não ache que ele seja capaz de levar Armie Hammer junto. - Damian Bichir foi uma surpresa interessante. Foi o primeiro ator a mandar screeners pro SAG. Que isso sirva de alerta pros Scott Rudins da vida. PAREM DE ESCONDER SEUS FILMES. - Gary Oldman simplesmente não consegue emplacar, não é mesmo? Ainda acredito no Michael Shannon e no Michael Fassbender pela briga da última vaga.
Atriz Coadjuvante - Shailene Woodley esnobada significa o mesmo que a esnobada do Andrew Garfield ano passado?- Jessica Chaistain, apesar dos prêmios pra Take Shelter, deve se consolidar com The Help. Espero que o GG também indique ela por esse filme, não quero vê-la esnobada por uma confusão de falta de consenso. Podemos fingir que foi indicada por The Tree Of Life. - No mais, HELL YEAH MELISSA MCCARTHY!
Ator Coadjuvante - Categoria mais louca do ano e o SAG só piorou tudo. Nolte e Hill eram nomes que estavam na conversa mesmo antes dessa indicação aqui. Acho que os dois tem mais chances do que muitos gostariam de admitir (principalmente no caso do Hill).- Numa categoria em que basicamente só temos dois locks (Plummer, Branagh) surge espaço para muitas surpresas. Ainda acredito no Brooks e apesar de tudo, no Kingsley também. Hugo parece o tipo de filme que a Academia vai abraçar, contudo, a esnobada em elenco meio que arruinou suas chances (moderadas) de vencer os prêmios principais.
